one of the best cardamom lattes out there! it was so delicious and the cardamom hit the spot. the pastry’s are also quite delicious. the only small issue i had was the price. $8 for a latte is a little ridiculous but honestly who cares about the price when you get the first sip of that latte!

Arrived on a Tuesday morning and there was no wait. I was able to get a seat as well. Went to a couple bakeries in the area, and this cardamom bun was my favourite of them all. It was the most unique in flavor. Very spice-forward. The ambience of the restaurant was unique as well, with a sophisticated, upscale feeling created by the ambient, low-fi music and minimal, natural decor.

Not overhyped whatsoever. Got an espresso chocolate ganache cookie and it rocked my world (might be top 5 cookies ever for me). My latte with oatmilk was really smooth and delicious. Everything they do is extremely well executed. Only downside is there’s always a line (though it moves fast) and it’s pretty cramped. Don’t expect to get a seat!

The pastries are delicious and the croissants are definitely my favorite. I crave them all the time. Coffee is great too. It’s been pretty consistently busy every time I’ve gone so I never expect to actually be able to sit down. Usually just grab and go. Their branding is on point, too. Love the goat on the boxes, cups, etc.

La Cabra never disappoints. The atmosphere strikes that perfect balance between minimalist and warm — calm, thoughtful, and clearly centered around craft. You can feel that coffee is taken seriously here. I had the Elida Natural Panama Geisha, and it was exactly what you hope for from a coffee of that caliber: rich body, beautifully fruity, with delicate floral notes that came through cleanly. The pour-over was prepared with real precision, and the barista was kind enough to walk me through the recipe and approach, which made the experience even more enjoyable. I’ve been a fan of La Cabra globally for years, and visiting this location feels like a treat every time. And the pastries? Just as impressive — refined, balanced, and the perfect pairing to the coffee.

Visited La Cabra Bakery and Cafe and it’s a great spot for coffee and pastries. I tried their cardamom bun super fresh, perfectly balanced, and not overly sweet. Definitely a must-try. The barista clearly knows what they’re doing, and the coffee was on point. Overall, really enjoyed it would come back again.

I visited this little bakery in the East Village for coffee and a quick bite. The place is tiny—very New York–style—with limited seating, and it was completely packed when I went (Labor Day weekend). There was a short line, and it took about 5–10 minutes to reach the order kiosk. The staff were polite and efficient. I ordered an iced cardamom latte along with an almond and grape cookie. Luckily, a table opened up just in time, and they even brought my order directly to me. The latte was excellent—strong coffee flavor with a fragrant cardamom note, perfectly balanced sweetness, and just the right amount of milk. The quality really stood out. The cookie was fantastic as well: almond, chocolate, and concentrated grape jam combined beautifully, with no artificial taste (a big plus for me, since I’m sensitive to synthetic flavors). While the bakery doesn’t have a huge selection, they do offer items like croissants and a pastrami sandwich that seemed quite popular. Overall, I really enjoyed my visit and would definitely come back to try more of their baked goods. Highly recommended!

I just moved to New York, and La Cabra is definitely one of my favorite spots. They have fantastic matcha and coffee, and their pastries are excellent too. My personal favorite is the ham and cheese croissant, but the almond croissant and cardamom bun is just as delicious. I highly recommend checking it out—just be prepared to spend around $10 on a drink, and there is typically no seating.

This spot has been all over social media, and it’s totally worth the hype. The space has a great energy..good music playing, clean and thoughtful decor, and a really nice setup overall. (Love the speakers) The pastries looked fresh, and I loved being able to see the chefs working through the window, it adds a level of transparency that feels intentional and elevated. The bar area is well-designed, and the baristas were solid. One thing I especially appreciated was how precise everything felt. You can see that drinks are carefully measured, which makes a huge difference. One of the worst things at a coffee shop is inconsistency, when you come back and your usual order tastes completely different. That doesn’t seem to be an issue here, and it shows a strong foundation for a successful business. The only downside is the space, it’s pretty tight with limited seating. Definitely more of a grab-and-go spot than somewhere to settle in. Overall, a very cool, well-executed place that lives up to the buzz.

La Cabra is easily one of my favorite coffee chains in Manhattan. They consistently deliver excellent quality, and this East Village location is no exception. Being close to NYU, the place is almost always packed, so be prepared to spend some time in line. That said, the wait is absolutely worth it. The coffee is outstanding and the pastries are just as impressive. During my most recent trip to NYC I visited three different La Cabra locations, and the consistency across all of them was remarkable. The coffee is always smooth, well-balanced, and with just the right level of acidity. La Cabra will definitely remain on my list of must-visit coffee spots every time I’m in town.
